Hovercrafting

A hovercraft is a cross between an aircraft and a boat, designed to travel over water and land at speed. Move smoothly and quickly over surfaces in these exciting vehicles. Slide sideways over mud, water, grass and anything else that might come your way. Take part in one of our hovercrafting experience days and you will definitely have an experience to remember

Hovercrafts are small engined ACVs, or Air Cushioned Vehicles, designed to operate both on land and on water. They are easy to learn, but difficult to master. There are no brakes - just the throttle, basic rudder steering and you.

At Athboy Hovercraft Centre you can learn how to master the hovercraft. You can fly solo on our water and land track, complete with hairpin turns, water course, splash deck and long straights!

The Hovercraft Centre  provides full instructions on how to operate our hovercrafts, as well as providing all the necessary safety equipment and advice. However, due to the nature of the activity, we would strongly advise our customers to ensure they are wearing appropriate clothing. The Hovercraft Centre can not be held liable for any damage or soiling to personal belongings.
